Ok here is the story, I work at Krogers and I am a bagger, today I went in and talked to the manager and got my shift for tomorrow bumped up from 3 o clock to 5 o clock because of band camp, when I talked to the manager she was very polite and we both laughed, later on that day after the manager left I came back to get my paycheck and the baggers that were their said that the manager said that I said I quit, so I figure shes probably going to fire me tomorrow. If she does fire me, can I report her to somebody for telling the baggers that I quit but she really fired me, and can I report her for fireing me whithout a reason. I think what she is doing is very unprofessional, I am a model worker by the way I always do what I am suppose to. Sorry for the spelling!!!

  1. just wait till tomarrow and see what happens. that may just be gossip because someone saw you talking to the manager.

if you do get fired, talk to her in person, and see what happened

try to work it out in person b4u go to anyone higher up to report. it may have just been a simple miscomunciation

    HAVE FUN AT BAND CAMP

  2. hmm.. first of all, if ure a model worker.. u dont hv to worry cuz.. u can find a job anywhere.. secondly, her decision to fire jst shows her unproffesional behavior towards her staff.. u dont hv too bother much about tellin other employees.. sooner or later they will find abt her bad behavior and leave her place for good..

  3. Don't make the problem worst by confronting your manager just yet. Show up for your shift at 5 and go from there. Someone's probably just playing with your head. It's possibly a know-it-all who doesn't know anything. I've worked with their type and they're not trustworthy. Play it cool.

  4. Maybe it was just a misunderstanding? I would talk to her or anybody above her before I got upset.

  5. You're right she is being very unprofessional. If she does fire you then you can contact the Human Resources department for the company. If there are no blemishes on your record, like write ups, no shows, or call ins, then you might be able to challenge it through the company. If they aren't helpful check with your states employment office.

Here is an article I found that might help.

  6. Talk to your mgr. first. If you don't get satisfaction from her, talk to her supervisor, even if she does fire you. From experience, I can tell you she is scared to death of her supervisor and doesn't want to get him upset. You have nothing to loose.
