Ok, well im catholic and in my church to make our confirmation in 11th grade we are required to go on one retreat in a 2 year period. There is a retreat coming up that i COULD go on, and i know a lot of people are, but i just don't think i want to. When i go away from home i tend to get a little nervous and anxious easily, especially if i don't have any good friends there, and i just don't really want to take that chance. I mean it sounds fun but idk, i just dont think i want to. WHat do you think. Should i? or not?

and what are some ways to get rid of this nervousness and is anybody else like that??

Thanks!!

btw, im only in 10th grade, i still have about a year and a half to go on one

  1. well since you have another year to go i would wait and make plans for a friend that i do like to go with me next year.  you have a lot of time to get prepared for the next time and you might even be over your fear, your never know. but what ever you decide just pray and ask

God to help you with your fear.

  2. well i think that if you REALLY want to do it and its a good chance to just get it done with and it seems like fun then do it... and about the nervous thing... i used to get just like that to but it might just be a chance for you to go and fight that feeling off and focus on just that. and i almost guarantee that those people at the retreat will be nice and friendly so don't worry about that.      well that's my opinion so just do what God tells you. and pray about it.

  3. home is your comfortable spot.  to leave it is to be slightly uncomfortable.  go on the retreat, have a new experience, learn a few things.
