  1. Have you see or thought about anything that has to do with the military lately? If so, that would be a huge indication of why the military was the central part of your dream. The military could also mean that you are suppressing your emotions or that there is some rigid authority in your life (perhaps your father)The helicopter indicates your ambitions or goals- it crashing or falling indicates insecurities you are having about them. The soldier being smashed further indicates your fear of something. Something was holding him back which means something is holding you back from facing those insecurities. You see your father as a young, fit person in your dream which means that you see him as smart and possibly as having the upper edge- he is ignoring you- maybe you feel that he isn't listening to you about something in real life or you are clashing with him about something and this is how it is manifested in your dream. Is there something he wants you do to with your life that you don't? Or vice versa? The fact that he is peeling a body off the ground, essentially cleaning it up, could mean that you see him as more or less taking care of things that need to be done or coming to the rescue even if you feel that he isn't hearing you about a certain issue. I think the reason he smears the blood on your face is to get your attention about something- maybe something that could do you harm. The blood represents life, love, and possibly disappointments. The wet sand in the beginning and end of your dream further indicates that you are lacking a sense of balance in your life.

  2. When you are playing video games or watching movies, does your Dad get upset and say you don't take the violence seriously enough?  Does he say, "These games downplay the reality of war, or crime, or life and death"?

Perhaps, with him spending so much time in Iraq, he has really strong feelings about this.  BUT, it's possible he already felt that way.

Sometimes, if he talks like this, it probably hurts your feelings, and you're thinking, "Dad!  I know!  I know the difference between reality and a game!"  But he's thinking, "If you really realized, you wouldn't even want to play that game!"

Maybe I'm totally off here, or maybe this isn't exactly how it goes, but I'm thinking maybe I might be close, anyway.

I hope your Dad is back from Iraq.  It sounds as if your family REALLY needs him a lot!

The wet, soft sand probably represents you and your brother.  You are young, your are impressionable.  Your father wants you to expose yourself to influences that will mold you into mature, caring adults, and he's concerned that some of the things you play around with are not going to produce the character he wants to see developed in you.

Pray for wisdom.  Honor your Dad!  Pray for your brother!  Hug your Mom!

    Love,

    Fairelight
