Our youth group is trying to raise money and we are sponsoring an event. There's a small kitchen in the building w/c has a microwave ,fridge and stove. Do you guys have any ideas on how to set up an easy concession stand?

Aside from canned drinks, I was thinking about just heating up finger foods such as hamburgers, pizza, fries, chicken fingers in the microwave and serving it to the guests.

  1. chocolate dipped section. You can do to order  strawberries, banannas, cookies marshmellows and all kinds of other products.

  2. Try Nachos with cheese sauce it is a great seller. Also, utilizing the microwave is a good but, foods often come out with an un-even temp.

Soda's are fine but, you could save on cost by making lemonade and selling it by the cup.  A can of frozen lemonade is much cheaper than a case of pop.  Maybe try fresh veggie's served with ranch dip. Some broccoli, cauliflower, cucumber etc. with a 2 oz. container of Ranch dip.  Often times you can contact Food Service Suppliers in your area and they will donate many items or give you a reduced cost on items you purchase if it is for a non-profit or fund raising for kids. Even your local banks will give you napkins and cups with their logo on them to use as it is in their advertising budget.  Think of the type of people you will be serving to plan your menu, also do simple as possible.  Have the childrens parents donate pans of bars to sell for desserts.  It works
