  1. set groups or the ring leaders who outcast there class mates

    spitting

the use of foul language // when asked they usually say i heard mommy say it (or daddy)

    not sleeping at nap time

    stealing of others toys

bed wetting /// or not making it to the potty

the child will often say this to the teacher

"your not my mommy i dont have to" (or daddy)

  2. Ann M. has some great ones. I would include the child who silently encourages a child to do something that is against the rules and then tattles on them; I am having that problem now. Once he tells a teacher then he goes back to the child and says I tattled on you and your are now in trouble.

Also the child who likes to tell his parents that the teacher didn't do anything when another child hurt them. Of course the parent likes to discuss it with the director instead of going to the teacher to see what really happened. To me that is a parent behavior problem. There are many behavior problems but we always seem to handle them so that each child can have a positive experience or we try to.

  3. separation from parents

    aggression

    tattling

    running

    not using inside voices

    wrestling - physical behavior

talking when they should be listening

    should I go on? ha

  4. biting missing parents and scared cry allot preschool teacher and director for ten years

  5. The climate of a program is always controlled by the teacher and/or caregiver. The foremost in creating a healthy environment is to train Staff members to handle the "variety" of behavioral challenges that will come along! Lack of training or poor training is the #1 problem.

    Challenges that may occur are:

Children not following safe practices...(Safety is never negotiable)

Children not respecting others and property...

Children not following the few "important rules that should be posted...(with teacher's reviewing or reminding them of appropriate rules ---Rebus style for younger) "BEFORE" activities begin...

Children not "listening" to the teacher...

    Problems of agression...etc., etc., etc.

The list goes on and on whenTeachers/Caregivers do not set up CLEAR  expectation or be consistent with natural and logical consequences...

  6. i would say

    separation anxiety

    aggression

and not listening and following rules or direction

  7. 1. aggression

    2. lack of concentration ( unable to sit and be occupied at an activity)

    3. screaming because they are left at the setting ( not crying as in being upset but screaming because they arent getting their own way)

these are the most common challenges we face at the setting we work in

  8. here is a problem that happened in my class one day after we finished our art project which included using googly eyes one of the kids tolled his friend to put the googly eye in his ear and he did. he pushed it so far in his ear that his paediatrician couldn't get it out he had to go to the emergency room to get it out. so what do you think of this one
