  1. Here's a converter site but be forewarned that you're talking apples and bananas. Grams are weight and cups are volume.

  2. 8 oz = 1 cup = 225 grams = 250 ml (fluid)

Download a metric conversion chart and keep it as a favorite

  3. There are various ways to do this, but this is the most accurate because you need to compensate for weight vs volume. Grams is by weight and cups, oz is by volume. This calculator compensates by giving seperate conversions by individual foods.

    7 TB butter

    2.65 oz baking chocolate

3/4 cup flour (plus a tsp to be exact)

3/4 cup chopped walnuts (plus a TB to be exact)

    1    cup

  4. Grams to cups is not the same for all substances. On my Bartenders measuring glass 1 Cup corresponds to 225 grams of sugar but only 110 grams of flour. The reason is that the gram is a weight measurement while the cup is a volumetric measurement. Denser substances will have heavier weights for the same volume than will less dense substances. You'd be better off getting a gram scale in the kitchen department at a local store. They're inexpensive and very handy. My wife has a lot of recipes, from Japan, and that's the best solution we've found.

  5. There are 28grams in an ounce and 8 ounces in a cup. So divide each of the ingredient grams. EX. 100/28= about 3.5 which would be 3.5 ounces or about half a cup.

Thats quite the confusing recipe you got...lol
