Show which is a better buy, 15 liters for $10 or 8 quarts for $4.75. Use dimensional analysis.

I've never heard of dimensional analysis.  I'm guessing that that's a new educational buzzword.

I do know how to show which is better.  You need to state the relationships in common terms.  Dollars equal dollars just fine, but liters don't quite equal quarts.  Let's say that 15 liters is about 15.9 quarts.

$10 per 15.9 quarts

against

$4.75 per 8 quarts

do the division

~ $0.63 per quart

against

~ $0.59 per quart

Not a huge bargain, but I know which I'd prefer.

cus the 8 quarts have to be at least $4

and 15 divided by 2 is $7. 50

the firsst one is more expensive 75 ct

the second is only 50 cent
