Please Sim 2 Lovers Out There HELP ME?

well i bought The Sims 2 apartment life from this major leading electric store- Harvey Norman but it doesn't load. What could be the problem? it say on the disk PC DVD ROM only. Hmmm What could that mean PLEASE HELP ME

PC DVD means that your computer must have a DVD drive in order to play the game.  If you only have a CD-rom drive, the disk will not play.  If you have the receipt, packaging, etc.  you should be able to return the game.  You can buy the game as direct download from the EA on-line store, then you won't need a DVD drive.

Well do you have an old computer?

Have you tried restarting your computer?

Are you sure it's a PC game? Could it be for a game system or for a Mac?

did you check to see you have the right system requirements E.G windows xp, vista and wether you have you have enough memory and graphics. Hope that helps.

If you're computer is an old model that cannot play DVDs, then you cannot play any of the more recent Sims 2 games simple as. If that is the case, you can but it from over seas, but I can't remember from what online site. It may have been play.com

Other things that many people find when they get a new Sims 2 game is that the computers graphics card is not good enough. Which can be replaced for around 30 -40 quid I think. But you can generally install the game before you realise that there is something wrong in that instance.
