Please - Video editing help?

Question

A friend of mine asked me to make her a video and add a song to it. I have two flash videos and an audio file- but the problem is I need to remove the existing audio from these videos, mesh them into one video- and add my own audio. WMM will not allow me to change the DEP settings, and right now I am so frustrated with WMM that I don't wanna use it anyway. Does anyone know of any free software downloads that I can use to achieve all of this- it can be more than one program- I want to eventually be able to upload this to youtube for my friend. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi there - Looks like you need a different video editing tool!

It must be said, though, that WMM is not the best tool out there. Apparently CNET rated it 1 star out of 5 due to stability and response issues (Which seems to be your experience too).

However, there are numerous free editing tools for video you might want to try:-

are you using windows movie maker? if so use the time line function and drag your video into the audio bar, then right click and check mute. then drag back to the video bar. simple.
