  1. I tutor one boy afterschool for $10/hr. But this is for more than just tutoring. They come over from school on the bus, have a snack, and then work on the work they need to work on. They stay for about 2 hours, three days a week.

It really depends on where you live though...

  2. Well dyslexia teaching in a school enviroment is about £17 per half an hour hope this helps

  3. $5 an hour for up to 5th grade, $1 more for each grade after that. ($7 for 7th grade, $10 for 10th grade, etc.)

  4. hey, 120yuan if its english in china

  5. Are you a student? Or a teacher? Do you intend to teach them seriously, or more of a casual thing?

High school graduates from where I live [in Australia] can charge  $30AU/hr [$26US] comfortably [ie, be hired to teach students]. Professional tutors can charge over $50AU [43US] /hr.

It's up to you. If you are a student, discussing with your parents might be a good idea.

  6. First, I'd suggest looking at what other people charge in your area.  Check out http://www.craigslist.org for where you live and searching for "tutor".  In some places tutors get a lot of money, in others not so much.  (For example, Chinese teachers in China don't make as much as Chinese teachers in the US, because there are a lot of them.)

Second, consider the "product" that you're selling.  Do you have to put together a lesson plan and do a lot of work, or are you providing simple conversation practice?  In general, the more effort required the more a tutor charges.

Next, consider your customers.  Are they the sort of people who need to be very careful about money?  If so, you might need to charge less.  Do they have special requirements, such as a difficult schedule?  If so, you may be able to charge a premium.

And last but not least, consider your own needs.  What is your time worth to you? When I was in Asia, I tutored English and charged double what other people did.  I only had a few clients, but I preferred it that way because I wanted more time for my own studies.

    Best of luck to you!
