Please advice on the following share market strategy?

Would it be illegal if i have two share trading accounts and just before the close of the market I go short on one script demanding much higher value and through the second account I buy that share offering higher value and thus hike the closing price of the script?

What? Do you think you're in some kind of " caper" movie? Wise up... just buy a good stock and make money...period...you don't have to get " all creative".

WNR made 14 % ..today !

Not sure what you mean by "script."

Trying to manipulate the stock price, say of a penny stock, by selling or buying doesn't work, because whatever you make on one side of the transaction you will lose on the other.

Stock price manipulators use illegal strategies like spreading rumors to get OTHER PEOPLE to buy or sell. But such strategies are illegal and could land you in jail.
