You can find some better interest rates on line - type "high interest savings" or something to that effect and see what is available - Capital, ING., Ford Credit etc. Sometimes the local banks offer better interest.  You will have to check.

it depends how you want to save whether you want access to it or to put it away

if you want to put it away but save regular u cld use share save cos the share price is really low at the moment and you will prob get a good rate in 5 years or so but you cant loose out on sharesave

have a look at moneysupermarket.com they have a little form you fill in and they will recomend the best 1 for you and tell you the best rate.
