  1. I think a camcorder in the birthing room would get thrown against the wall and broken!  LOL.  At least in my birthing room.  I'm only 8 weeks along so I don't know how to help you with the wait, I'm looking at a LONG time.  As for staying energized, make sure your getting enough nutrients in your diet and eating well.  Make sure you're getting enough to drink, and you should be doing some light exercising every day, even when your super tired.  This should help make the days better.  Also try to go to bed early and sleep as long as you can.  Hope this helps!

  2. I wouldn't do the camcorder in the birthing room.  But thats just me, I only allowed the camera and that was after the baby was born.  First you want to make sure your hospital allows it.  One of the hospitals in my city do not allow any cameras or video camers while any type of medical staff is in the room.  As for staying energized... well when you find out something let me know because I am beyond exhausted.

  3. I didn't want my kids' birth recorded. I don't even allow cameras in there unless my husband's taking pics after the baby's out. I can't bear the thought of seeing myself stretch like that! Ick! I don't even use a mirror to watch. I'd be traumatized! LOL

The last part of your pregnancy always seems to take forever. There's really not much you can do except keep yourself busy w/ different chores, errands, activities to keep your mind off of the time.

As far as s*x life, my husband would refuse to give it to me at the end of my pregnancy and that's when I wanted it most! Some guys have complexes about it, so I'm not expecting to get much this time around either. LOL

  4. Enjoy the s*x now.   Like you, I couldn't get enough while I was pregnant (all the way through).  However, now I don't have the desire at all.  The baby is 10 weeks old now and the delivery/healing was great.  I'm hoping the desire returns soon so we can make our little girl a big sister!

  5. well i chopped a mars bar into small pieces and ate this and also drank lucozade to keep me going, but you will find you have an amazing amount of energy at the end anyway. wish i had taken a camcorder into the room after it happened, not only to remember him coming out but also to remind me of events during the labour. you sort of go into a trance and concentrate only on yourself, so afterwards it can be difficult to piece together what happened, like what time you were fully silated, and who examined me then etc... i must have drove my partner mad asking questions about the labour and delivery for weeks after so yes, definately take one in, set it up on a tripod and then you don't have to worry about your partner missing the birth either. best of luck.

  6. I do not have any suggestions regarding staying energized etc in the third trimester as I am not that far along yet; however, I can comment on the camcorder thing.  I think it all depends on your individual thoughts and feelings on this one.  I personally would not want that filmed, nor want anyone else watching it after the fact, although perhaps not a bad idea after the fact when you are holding the baby and nursing for the first time etc.  I suppose if you did want to film during the actual delivery, you have to decide which end you want the camera focused on, your face or the baby coming out, which I don't think anyone would want to watch after the fact.  You also have to consider who you would have holding the camera.  If your husband plans to do it and he is also supposed to be your birthing coach then I don't think he would be able to be as helpful to you as he could be if he were focused just on you and what's going on rather than if he is distracted by focusing on filming.

  7. Personally, I don't want a camcorder or any other video device around me when I'm spread-eageled.  That's just me.  If you want to, go for it.  A lot of people do that these days.

Staying energized?  Yeah, right!  I have zero energy and can't sleep for anything.  If you find any good tips, let me know.

s*x?  You have to be joking.  With my other kids, my s*x life was fine.  With this one, I couldn't care less if my hubby even looks at me sexually.  All I want is a hug and kiss.

~~*Can't... I meant can't sleep for anything.... Sry.

  8. Umm I dont know if I would do the camcorder thing because I dont want to remember the pain. On the energy thing your guess is as good as mine Im 33 weeks and today I feel so sluggish. and my sleeping track is so messed up. and as for the s*x life?? what s*x life lol me and the hubby its so hard to get in the mood when I dont feel s**y. Ahh almost there...

  9. no way i don't want to share my labour with anyone and not all hospitals will allow them. snacks of fruit i am finally in my third trimester by nearly a week. i do cross stitch, and needle craft, read several books a week and watch the google box. what s*x live we have not had s*x since i was 17 weeks as it is way to uncomfortable due to the way i am carrying baby.

  10. camcorders in my area are not aloud for well the birth is happening due to the fact that you could edit it and make it look BAD and sue the place. Pic. are fine and video before and after is ok to but video well it is happening is not ok. I'm 37 weeks and it does seem like it's taking forever!! i've cleaned my hole house a million time.. I am on here laot trying to pass time. and the s*x is good when we have it but dont' have it much now cuz he's a farmer and he works late

  11. camcorder in the birthing room...i think its cool! especially if your having a daughter she can see what it's really like and sort of like a birth control LoL! but other than that, it's just another way to catch your emotions on such a wonderful day!

  12. That would be up to you.....I think it would be neat, even if your partner did film during the birth, just not exposing your private area.  I wish now that I had more photos of my daughter right after she was born.  I turned down looking in the mirror during birth, and now wish I would have watched.

I worked up until a few days before I gave birth, but I did not have any energy and was really tired, so I usually took naps when I got home from work.  I wouldn't get my hopes up too high on staying energized.  Just take advantage of having the time to rest now.  You can try word puzzles, word searches, reading some books, all stuff that will be hard to have time for when the baby gets here.  Use this time to really spend some extra time with your daughter before the baby gets here.

  13. I think it is the worst idea ever!  I don't understand people who want a camcorder in the delivery room.  The last thing a person wants to watch is your baby coming out of you!    If you want a great memory then do still photo's after the baby has come out.  Plus it isn't like your child will ever watch it.  They will think it is just as gross!

  14. Some hospitals do not allow videotaping in the birthing room, so you'd have to check on that.

And really -- what would you be taping?  And who would be doing the taping? Do you want hubby holding your hand and rubbing your back, or looking at you through the viewfinder?  Do you want to keep for posterity images of you cussing and making faces?  Who would be viewing the film when all is said and done?

Not something I would want to do ... but if the hospital/doctor allow it,and it's something YOU want .. that's fine.  Just resist the temptation to send copies to all your friends and relatives.
