I just bought a new vector hockey stick and it is lumpy and rough. Are the wood ones supposed to be lik that?

no go back to the store and get a new one or if they dont take it, email the company

If it's wood then probably not, but if it's not wood, then some sticks are like that. I have a TPS Response and its bumpy on the shaft. I'm not sure what the advantage of that is, but the bumps are regular, so they are meant to be there. If your bumps look more like someone beat up your stick, not like they are meant to be there, then get it checked out.
