  1. First of all, talk to your parents about this and ask them to help you with a plan.  If you are only 96 pounds I think it is unlikely that you need to lose much weight, if any.

Keeping a food journal really does help.  It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.

Make a few small changes - walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days.  Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer.

Start a weight lifting routine. It will help increase your metabolism and make you feel and look better in so many ways. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall.

In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish.   Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts.  Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy.  Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses a day, and more if it is very hot, it you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely. You will begin to see changes in your body.

Check out websites about nutrition, exercise, weight training, etc.  Here are a couple of helpful links.

  2. eat right, exercise, and lift

  3. well you have to lose all that fat first before u start lifting. Do cardio everyday of the week except sundays. that is; jogging, or better still running or even better climbing up hills.

Diet is also very important here. U need to change what u eat. Drink lots of water. Stop eating junk food etc.

Focusing on daily changes is the best way to reach your goals. You won't lose weight overnight but  its better to permanently change your life for the better.

Then for the muscle building; lift weights eg bench press etc.Good luck

  4. Hey

If you really want to lose this fat and keep it off then you should be doing a combination of weights and cardio.  I combined these using the Your six pack quest routine.  It really helped me on my way.  There was 24/7 coaching, videos, book, meal plan, bodyweight workouts, cardio workouts and a virtual trainer.  I couldn't believe how much I got.  It was so unbeliveable I want to buy it again.  I've even got my family on this program and it's working for them too.  I found it at  http://fitness4u.sitesled.com .  This site also has some good free info.  Also some downloadable reports.

Good luck with the fat loss.  Don't give up.. you'll get there.

  5. Hi hitman, I know your answer.

Swimming will be perfect for you, really. If you are committed and keep on, it will change your life.

    For me it worked.

    Best wishes

  6. workout using less weight, but more reps. this will help you lose weight  faster than if you worked at your max. definitely do not push yourself too hard. your still growing and you do not want to dmg your joints and bones. also, exercise more and have a healthy diet. :)

  7. Eat less bad food and exercise more.
