How do you expect to win the division when you won't even finish .500?

DAL @ CLE - L (Romo will throw for 4 TDs against the terrible CLE secondary.)

PIT @ CLE - L (CLE can never beat PIT.)

CLE @ BAL - L (BAL had about a dozen injured guys last year; they will be healthy this year, and Troy Smith will be much improved . Advantage goes to the home team.)

CLE @ CIN - W (CIN is a bad team - congrats on CLE's 1st win of the season.)

Bye - consider this a victory

NYG @ CLE - L (Defending SB champs will crush CLE.)

CLE @ WAS - L (The score will probably be close, but the advantage goes to the home team and their superb WR corps)

CLE @ JAC - L (JAC is a super bowl contender, they will destroy CLE.)

BAL @ CLE - W (BAL is usually not a very good road team againt division opponents.)

DEN @ CLE - W (DEN is going to struggle this year. CLE should beat them up.)

CLE @ BUF - L (Close score, but the CLE will choke on Monday night. Trent Edwards looks much better this year.)

HOU @ CLE - W (CLE beat HOU last year, they should be able to beat them again.)

IND @ CLE - L (Another blowout courtesy of Peyton Manning.)

CLE @ TEN - L (Even though Cince Young cant complete 50% of his passes, he still finds a way to win at home.)

CLE @ PHI - L (Philly is a great team this year. McNabb will throw 3 or 4 TDs.)

CIN @ CLE - W (Again, CIN is a terrible team. CLE should easily win at home.)

CLE @ PIT - W (Steelers will probably bench their starters because they already wrapped up the division - so congrats on beating 2nd and 3rd stringers.)

6-10 in 2008.

  1. I'm not saying it isn't possible.  But i would be surprised to see the Browns make it to the playoffs this season.

  2. I agree with you, Cleveland will not be at .500 this year.  Unless things turn around quickly, I think they may be at 4-12.

  3. I agree they are overrated, but i think they will go .500.

I think many of your games are correct, but I think they beat Baltimore, and either Buffalo or Tennesee.

They have little no chance against Dallas, Indy, Pitt or JAC. Those teams will tear their secondary a new one.

  4. Made A Few Corrections. Browns are My Fav in AFC This Year.

DAL @ CLE - L (Romo will throw for 5 TDs against the terrible CLE secondary.)

PIT @ CLE - W Browns Suprise Pitt. with Near Shut Out.

CLE @ BAL - W Baltimore still Trying to figure out Knees from Elbows.

CLE @ CIN - W (CIN is a bad team - congrats on CLE's 2nd win of the season.)

Bye - consider this a victory

NYG @ CLE - W "Champs" aka the CHUMPS Get Crushed in Heartbreaker.

CLE @ WAS -  W (Washington w/ Gibbs is Like a Car w/o an Engine.)

CLE @ JAC - L (JAC is a super bowl contender, they will destroy CLE.)

BAL @ CLE - W Baltimore Gets Better, But still Lag.

DEN @ CLE - W (DEN is going to struggle this year. CLE should beat them up.)

CLE @ BUF - W Cleveland will Take the Bills Back to School.

HOU @ CLE - W (CLE beat HOU last year, they should be able to beat them again.)

IND @ CLE - W (IND having Trouble This Year, Loses a Mid Season Non division Away Game.

CLE @ TEN - L (Even though Cince Young cant complete 50% of his passes, he still finds a way to win at home.)

CLE @ PHI - W (Philly gets blown out, McNabb Out for season by this time, and other injuries plauge Philly.)

CIN @ CLE - W (Again, CIN is a terrible team. CLE should easily win at home.)

CLE @ PIT - L Cleveland & Pit Split Season, But Win Home Games Against Each other.

12-4, Win Division & AFC Championship, Lose To Cowboys in SB 43, Crushed 49-17.

  5. Well, I guess that's your opinion. Won't know for sure until they finish the season. As they say, "that's why they play the games."

Nobody expected the Giants to win the Super Bowl, now did they?

  6. no i think there gonna beat dallas and piit and have at least 11 wins i think there a really good team.

  7.   I think the Browns could beat any of these teams. They will have the most trouble with Dallas, NY, Indy, and the Jags. The others can be all wins. The Steelers will be hurting because of a weak O line and poor special teams; I don't think Ben will make it though the year without getting hurt. It's more likely that the Steelers will be 6-10 than the Browns.

  8. While I do think the Browns will get more than 6 wins this year, I don't think they'll live up to all the hype that they've been getting in the off / preseason.  They have improved; they're a better team than they were last year, but a lot of people think that automatically means they will win more games.  Not true.  They played such an easy schedule last year, and have a much harder schedule this year, so I don't think that better team = more wins.

With all the talent that they have on offense (although I believe Derek Anderson will be exposed as an overrated QB this year), it may be easy to think that they can compete with teams like Dallas or Pitsburgh or the Giants... but if you take into account the fact that their defense is VERY shaky (at best), and break down their schedule like you've done already, it's hard to see them winning any more than 8-9 games.

However, as a comment to your breakdown of the schedule, I can't see the Browns losing to Washington, Buffalo, AND Tennessee.  They'll probably win 2 of those 3.  They'll also probably sweep Baltimore this year, but then again I have no idea what to expect from the Ravens after their flop last year.  And they won't beat Houston.  So I guess that puts my prediction at 8-8.

  9. They will not be able to repeat what they did last year.

  10. I thought that after last year the Browns would FINALLY have something to be happy about.  However after watching their sloppy pre season games I'm gonna have to agree
