  1. My husband was born 2 1/2 months premature and my brother-in-law was born 3 months premature because their mother was a heavy drug user when she was pregnant. They both have problems because of it, but thankfully are able to live normal (for the most part) lives. I have talked to my dr about it when I became pregnant worrying that my children might inherit those things. Any issues that are associated with prematurity or drug use are not hereditarry as it was caused by the influence of its growing environment and not chromosomal. Any children that child may have will not be affected by any of those problems by heredity. Hope this helps.

  2. If the baby is born w/severe special needs, it is more than likely that he/she will never have children.
