I am playing NFL fantasy but I don't know if I should release Thomas Jones and pick up Chris Brown out of the free agency? I am leaning more towards doing it, but what do you think?

If you are not familiar with these names here are the reports:

Thomas Jones:

After totaling two touchdowns last year, there's a movement afoot for Thomas Jones in Fantasy leagues. Why? Because the Jets retooled their offensive line, adding left guard Alan Faneca, picked up veteran FB Tony Richardson, and the team did not add another RB via the draft. All signs point to Jones getting around 15 touches per game with goal-line work behind an up-and-coming O-line. That's enough to make us optimistic. Think of Jones as a quality No. 3 Fantasy RB worth a pick between Rounds 4 and 6 in drafts this summer. RB Rating: 22

  1. Thomas Jones

  2. Come on man, you should never drop a starting back for a running back by commitee back possible back. I would keep Thomas Jones unless the jets sign Shaun Alexander or Kevin Jones.

They already put their vote of confidence in him when they didnt draft a running back and the Texans went the opposite way, they drafted Steve Slaton, after picking up Chris Brown, they still have incumbent Ahman Green and have raved about Chris Taylor alot. That my friend is a train wreck.

Stay away if at all possible. If there is a deadline to do this wait until the last minute and unless the Jets sign one of the available free agents. Keep Jones, if they pick up Kevin Jones, snag him if available. If all else fails grab Chris Brown, but only as a least resort. The Texans have never had a running game and have done nothing to make me think otherwise.

  3. Hold on to Thomas Jones just based on the fact that he will get more carries per game.  I still don't believe in Chris Brown despite him being in Texas.  He will have to share some carries with Ahman Green as well (assuming Green is still there).  So Jones has more upside in that sene.  Leave Chris Brown sit in free agency.

  4. Stick with Thomas Jones. With a revamped Offensive line I am expecting Jones to get more TDs than he did last year. Plus Jones will get the majority of the carries in my opinion. Chris Brown will likely be in a RBBC with Ahman Green.

  5. Thomas jones

The jets don't have a sure thing QB so they will lean on Jones. Y

But Chris Brown is sharing time with two other RB and the Texans have Matt Schaub and Andre Johnson a very under ratted QB-WR combo so Chris Brown will have alot less TD carrys and yards

  6. Thomas Jones

chris brown hasnt done anything in the nfl yet. yes some injurys but still why would some for an example pick chris onver thomas on a fantasy team? Thomas is yet to be in his perfect prime.

  7. Thomas Jones, he's the only #1 RB on that team. ALso, they added Alan Faneca at guard which is HUGe and will give him a good year.

  8. Definitely Jones for the reasons stated in the article appended to your question. Brown is a decent #4 back but he has a history of injury and has never shown much more than potential.
