  1. 1. No, either be a daycare, or school; do not try to be both.

    2. At least 12+ hours a day, 7 days a week; we also home school.

    3. Yes.

    4. Both grandchildren under age 6, children ages p*****n to late twenties.

They are all unique, beautiful, rambunctious, adventurous, curious, busy, active, fun loving, hardworking, and have a love for learning.

    5. At home.

    6. Neither.

    7. 4

    8. Natural, organic, and home made.

    9. A daycare will make profit anywhere; it's an industry on it's own.

10.d. All of the above, but in a non-structured setting for all but the sports component.

    5. close to work

    8. My children only eat fresh fruits, vegetables, low-fat meats, dairy, little to no high-fructose corn syrup

    9. I have no idea

    10. all of the above

  3. <<1. If looking at different listings would the name ABC DayCare catch your eye?>>

No.  It's overused.  It's almost like a cliche name for a day care.

If I'm looking for a day care, I would be looking for something more fun.

<<2. How many hours do you work weekly?>>

Now, I work with 25 teaching hours.  That's quite different from my teaching + planning hours.  But I'm no longer in this age range (unfortunately).

When I worked with preschool/kindergarten, it was your standard 40 hour week.  Plus classroom setup time.  Plus parent-teacher conference time.  Plus training time.  Plus....well...you get the point.

    <<3. Are you married?>>

    No.

<<4. What is your child's age, personality and any other specific needs such as development delays?>>

    N/A

<<5. What is your desired location for a DayCare?>>

Not in Taiwan, that's for sure.  LOL

    Probably near a beach.

<<6. Would you prefer a home care, family daycare, center care, or preschool? (Choose One)>>

    Does Montessori preschool count?

<<7. How many children do you have?>>

    None.

<<8. What kind of nutrition would you like your child to consume?>>

I'd prefer a school that offered a healthy diet.  If I'm going to give my kids bad eating habits, I want it to be me that gives them the bad habits.  I don't want to pick my kid up from school every day and he's full because he just had cake.  (Once in a while, for special occasions, is different).

<<9. Do you think a daycare in Downey, CA will be profitable?>>

I think the more you do this, the more you'll realize that day cares are rarely profitable.  No matter where they are.

<<10. What type of activities would you like your child in?

    a. Learning Activities (reading, counting, writing...)

    b. Playing Activities (sports, painting, coloring...)

    c. Other:>>

    c.  Enjoying learning

The rest falls into place if "c" is there.

    Matt
