unsecure? Does it mean in the applications or something?

  1. Unsecured means that there is no data encryption.  For example if someone types in their credit card number and clicks send on a secure site a hacker can actually see the data string and get the credit card number. This is a bad thing.  Unsecured is fine for certain things but not when personal information is involved.
