Basilophorous is a term that I believe is used to refer to names that are used in royal contexts in Egypt (and maybe other areas, but I've only seen it used when referring to Egyptians).  These sorts of names can also be given in contexts in which the person has achieved something great, such as being a great warrior.  The basilophorous name can take on epithets, as well, to indicate achievement in addition to whatever it was that earned the person the ability to use such a name.
