  1. This is the wrong category to ask this question in, but I recommend you read the text book you received for your class.  I'm certain it will help a lot.

  2. A) a darker area where ink has accumulated around the edges after the ink has been put down

    B) Bleed is the amount of spread that happens as the ink works throuhg the paper, making an accurate edge difficult.

  3. I can answer B!

It means it can go through the paper and go onto whatever is underneath it.

So if you are drawing on paper and you lift up the paper, and there are marks on the table, it bled through.

    Hope this helps :D

  4. 1.) it is when there is a dark ring around the edge of the ink

2.) bleeding is when coloured inks merge together and the colours mix, so you cant get a neat edge. biodegradable inks do not bleed because they are oil based whereas water and spirit can bleed.

look in ur text book for tide marks and google will probably give you a better definition of bleeding or a dictionary

  5. I can only answer the (b) question because I have never heard the term 'tide' mark.

When something bleeds on paper it means that the ink or medium will leak into the fibers of the paper around where you have drawn or written.  so instead of having a nice crisp line it will look smudged or have little spider web veins coming from it following the paper fibers.

  6. bleed means to spread out.

  7. a Tide mark is just another word for the pen has smuged on your paper and cause it to leave a tide mark this is why people call it a tide mark

b  Means that the paper your using maybe to thin for the type of water based pen and cause it to bleed in other words leek and creates a really big blob on your paper like a big pool of blood

And bleed is just another word for the pen is leaking !

  8. Tide mark means it spreads & leaves a dark ring around it.

Bleeds means it spreads, if you use an ink pen, felt-tip pen etc. on newsprint paper, it will bleed.

    Biros are best.
