  1. His table NO chalk.

  2. What's unbelievable about it?

    Your friend's table - your friend's rules.

Besides, there's no need to soak your hands in chalk. Try washing your hands before playing, with soap. If they sweat a lot think about wearing a glove. Many players wear gloves for that purpose.

Chalk is over rated. You don't see the pros soaking up chalk and saturating table felt on TV do you!

And if your shaft doesn't slide the way you like, use a little 400 sand-paper on it.

    Good-luck, Steven

  3. By "chalk on stick" do you mean chalk on the tip? If that's what you mean, then your friend is an idiot.  If you're talking about the cone chalk that you put on your bridge hand, then yes, I'd say you have to go along with it (although, as far as etiquette goes, he should've had the chalk out of sight). Spend $8 or $9 and get a glove (SureShot is a good brand and available in many pool rooms)-- no mess and always available (if you keep it with you).

p.s. Just in case he was talking about the chalk for your tip, two things: first, make sure you're not chalking your cue directly above the cloth (not sure if anybody even does that), and second, when you put the chalk down on the table, make sure it's chalk-side up (so you don't knock loose chalk onto the rails-- and subsequently, people's shirts).

  4. ummm.. YEA!! its his table after all!

  5. None on tip of cue-Stupid

    on hands would be diffrent

  6. Once again, my vote goes to Lea for this one.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.
