Please can you give me the names of non-democratic countries fighting for democracy?

I need the name of atleast one country except Myanmar, where the people are fighting for democracy.

  3. You are wrong to say that a country is fighting for democracy. In all countries you have an opposition who want something different to what they have going. Like China is a good example where the majority of people are happy and you have a vocal minority who receive extensive foreign press because, frankly it is in our interests for propaganda reasons, to say our system is better and everyone wants some. But the reality is different especially in third world countries like Myanmar. There we have many people living in rural areas who don't even know who or better still what runs the country.

    And we have semi- educated types who think that democracy is actually going to improve their lives and we have the foreign press who encourage them. But the question is, if we take all those who actually like their system and add those who don't know what a system even is, you will find that the pro-democracy lot are a minority.

    Which makes me question the legitimacy of your question. You assume that a majority want "democracy" when it can be determined that most people wont even know what it means , so how can they decide its better for them unless its heavily advertised as such?
