Please can you help me, with the regions of a dvd...?

Okay I recently bought a dvd off the internet, and its in region one, So I am unable to watch it on my dvd player.

How can I convert it to region 2?

(links and downloads will be great) most helpful answer will the10 points!

  1. Agree With Stone Fox, that was the method i was going to recommend.

    There is no way of changing the region without re-burning the dvd.

    So use dvd shrink to remove the region and copyright stuff.


  2. well, funnily enough, most cheap rubbish dvd players like tesco value or other cheap never heard of companies that sell DVD players actually can play all regions and NTSC dvds. quite weird huh?

  3. Most can be unlocked to region 0 so that any disc can be played, let us know the model number and hopefully I can tell you the button presses needed to unlock it.  

  4. I'd reccomend a program called DVD-Shrink (http://www.dvdshrink.org/)

    It removes all copy-protection and region encoding enabling you to back up your disks as you are legally entitled.

    It does mean you'll have to copy it from disk to your HDD and then burn it back to disk but it'll be region 0 when it's done.
