  1. Well one thing is that you wouldn't expect it from a rio for a start. The problem might be water circulation and/or your filter, so make sure everything's working okay. It might also be that you have the wrong kind of lights or too many plants.

    Hope that helps. =]

  2. i would get a new one

  3. water goes green if the sun or day light can get to it or through the glass on the tank ..and the fish will die as it changes the water..so if you have it any where nr a window or where the sun can shine through the glass move it...

  4. A filter will do the trick and don't forget to clean the tank/filter no less than three times a month, preferably once a week.

  5. Any of the below should help:

    - No direct sunlight

    - Regular water changes

    - Good filtration

    - Don't over feed (less waste)

+ Why not add some algae eating fish / shrimp /snails.

Ask your local pet shop for more details and advice. They will be happy to help (if they are not I recommend you take your business elsewhere!!)

  6. GET A LITTLE UV WATER LAMP, THEY ARE WONDERFUL, KEEPS WATER CRYSTAL CLEAR AND KILLS BAD BACTERIA, AND THEY ARE QUITE CHEAP,,

  7. Get a new fish tank then a new filter

  8. cover your tank for 3days. add an airstone 24/24.

the water will clear up. but if you don't have plants or do water changes, the problem will get back!!!

  9. I have had the same problem and its algae. You can get treatment for about £3 from a pet store and this makes it knot together so the filter can digest it easily. You may also need a stronger filter and do a 30% water change everyweek. :) hope this helps x
