  1. Oh c**p. Can't you ask an easier question than that?

  2. its been a while since I've researched this but let me see if I remember right.

The Minoan culture was a culture of trade.  It existed before the Achean culture rose to prominence.  Its artwork is the colorful red and blue stuff you see in the history books with the people jumping bulls and the women in the bell shaped skirts with the open jackets.  Very little is known about its religious beliefs - bulls and possibly snakes seemed a motif.  I think the place you want to look up is called Knossos.  I think the thing I really remember standing out what that they lived mostly on islands and their cities didn't have walls.  I also think there was a lot of earthquake damage involved in many of their ruins.  I believe they might have had a written language which the Acheans later adopted if I remember right.

The Acheans were also a trading people but they were much more warlike based.  They showed up after the Minoans and sometimes built on top of Minoan structures so there is some supposition that they conquerer or took advantage of a weakened Minoan culture to move in.  Their art work is much more warlike as well and usually depicts soldiers or men in acts of violence (hunting, etc.).  Their religion is pretty well documented and, on the whole, is the familiar, gods and goddesses of Greek myth.  Mostly the Acheans lived on mainland Greece in hugely walled and fortified cities - see Mycenae.

dang, its been a while since I've had to go dredging through my memory for that kind of stuff.  I always liked Minoan art work better - more life to it.  Hope that helped a bit.
