I am pregnant with my first baby and here lately when I walk I feel like I need to cross my legs to keep the baby from just falling out. I am about 32 weeks now and I know the baby is putting a lot of pressure on my pelvic area but is it normal to feel like the baby could just fall out at any moment? There is just so much pressure down there and then the baby will kick that area and I feel like he is trying to kick "the door" open and get out. Do most pregnant women feel this way? Am I just being silly and worrying about something stupid? If I dont know a thing else I know it is uncomfortable.

  1. Unless ur pelvis is made of rubber. LOL. The baby does give u a whole lot of pressure especially when the baby drops. Sometimes it feels like you can't keep walking cuz there is a weird uncomfortable feeling in your pelvis/pubic area.  My daughter my eldest, it was simple. But my son, it felt so bad, i had to sleep on a tempur pedic matress. It varies. But good luck, It's worth it all. Youll see that baby pretty soon.

  2. It is perfectly normal.  I am about as far along as you and I feel the same way sometimes.  I started doing those pelvic exercises and they eased the discomfort a little.  Maybe try that?  You just tighten your pelvic muscles up like you are trying to hold your pee.  It helps in labor too.  You can also do it while you are having s*x.

  3. I felt the same way.  My doctor told me that the intense pressure is my body telling me to rest, put my feet up.  That it was a sign i was doing too much.

    Hope this helps.   :)

  4. i had the same feeling with my first, and now my second. its not silly, and the best thing you can do is invest in a belly belt. i got mine at babys r us. different fits for different people. a good website that my 1st midwife suggested was www.prenatalcradle.com , while those are way to elaborate for me, they may be right for you.

    good luck

  5. Yes this is normal. I have 3 girls. And you should never feel silly to ask a question.

  6. Its normal baby just getting ready to make a debut.

  7. I'd say it's pretty normal.

Especially because it is around this time that our pelvic joints are loosening up in preparation.

Get lots of rest, don't exert yourself and enjoy the silence (if this is baby number one of course ;) )

  8. I'm almost thirty weeks and he feels like he's going to kick right out of course he's breach and the doc says that it's nothing to worry about but I have felt to see if a foot was coming out and it really hurts.

  9. This is normal.. I totally remember this happening.. I could have swore my first was going to throw a foot or arm out there or something. The baby will not come out like that I promise... lol... Good luck and congrats!!

  10. I think it's all in your head. Yes, the baby is putting pressure on your pelvic bone, but I think it's also that this is your first baby. Woman go through crazy things during their first pregnancy. Thinking the baby will fall out is just one of those crazy things.  :)

Congratulations, and don't worry :) good luck!

  11. Don't feel stupid!!!! This is totally natural. Good luck with everything

  12. trust me, the baby wont fall out. I had that feeling like the baby was going to drop or an arm or something was gonna pop out. not a comfortable feeling!

  13. Yup, completely normal.  I'm 30 weeks and baby is head down in optimum position.  Sometimes it feels like he's gunna drop out if I cough too hard!  Just rest as much as possible.

  14. uh i know the feeling!

i started feeling that like a week b4 i had michael it kept getting worse one night it was really bad a couple days later i had him.

[[ i kept goin into false labour too =\ ]]

its the baby pushing down. kuz everytime he did that i noticed he was lower and lower!

i would say rest alot because your not ful term yet but then again walking lots helps ALOT with labour and the birth

  15. your reaction is a great reflex, you are having pressure on the right place because the baby is 1- head bottom, pressing on it, or 2- head on top, feet moving at the pelvic.

the baby may not fall but it is a good indication that your body feel that there is something coming. ;) there is nothing to laugh about actually, having no feelings at all would be strange. now, you are perfectly aware of the situation, your body is feeling what it is supposed to feel... maybe it is different for you, but it's your first...
