Please dont think im crazy because of this dream?

Question

I was falling asleep and i heard a voice of a man saying "Anything that you pray for I will pray that you recieve" What do you guys think this means ? Am i nuts?:(

If this happens while you are falling asleep, it is by definition what's called a "hypnagogic" hallucination (ones that happen when you are waking up are similarly called "hypnopompic" hallucinations). It is surprisingly common, and normal, although if it occurs along with other symptoms you might have narcolepsy ("drop attacks"). Some classic symptoms of narcolepsy include sudden attacks of falling asleep during the day, cataplexy (sudden loss of postural tone), correlation with sudden fits of emotion, etc. Another, perhaps more self-evident condition associated with these phenomena is sleep paralysis.

Most likely you are completely normal. Freud is dead, though, so I can't comment on the CONTENT of your hallucination. Are you very religious or spiritual? I don't mean at all to detract from some of the more faith-based answers above.

  I think your dream is trying to tell you that you will be getting something real soon. I don't know what it will be,but it is coming My Friend. I believe dreams are trying to tell us that something or someone is coming friendly or coming to do harm,or if something special is coming for us like a big surprise. Very, very often when I'm on the verge of falling asleep I start hearing voices. It's like a few words, a phrase at most, on all sorts of different topics by different people and in the different languages I know. I take it that my brain is sort of "verifying data before save and shutdown" on fast-speed. It just means that it's a matter of seconds before you'll be sound asleep and dreaming.

As for the part about us thinking you crazy, here's a favorite quote of mine:

"Dreaming permits each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives. "

i've had a similar experience like this.

i was just falling asleep and i heard a laugh, like a little girl laughing.

i still have no idea what it meant, but you are definatly not crazy.

sometimes when your tired the mind does weird things.

No, you are NOT nuts! That is probably one of your guardian angels, everyone has at least one. He is saying that if you pray for something, he will pray for you to make your prayer happen, or come true. (If that made sense to you)
