I am resigning to do my further studies. I would be sending the email to the entire department. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This is what I would write. ( SUBJECT-RESIGNATION)

To all..

I will be leaving ABC company as of Friday, May  30, 2008

so that I can dedicate my time  ( or whatever)((or,  to pursue other interests)).

I want to wish you all well, and let you know that it has truly been a pleasure working with you.

I f you want to keep in touch with certain individuals, you tell them in person.You may have some very good friends there ( who probably already know)., but the main intent is to let people know you're leaving, to show them the courtesy of not having to call and ask for you and be told, "Joe is no longer with us"

Don;t forget to leave the people you deal with outside your own company ( customers) know you are leaving.
