  1. I know what you mean. Ask and you shall receive. With all that money coming in everyday why plant a tree or save a animal when you can buy a giant home or a fast car!

  2. That is the problem with many not for profit organizations, that take any donations. You have the option of asking what percentage goes to the cause and what goes to admin costs and salaries. It isn't just eco groups it's all organizations. There are good and bad. I don't donate to any, I belong to a couple groups that take action without asking for money.

In there defense, organizations that have full time paid employees often have better results and accomplish more. As in all things, do a little research and decide where your donations will do the most good.

  3. I don't understand the question either, but if you're refering to how much money a charity uses for actual charity work, 10-20% is actually pretty good.  Many charities use much less.

  4. Not quite sure what you mean by eco-groups.

But in generally, a business sets their profit margin at different range (i.e. 20, 50 60%, etc) depending on the market competitiveness. The business owner cannot overprice their product or they'll lose out to other competitors and they will never under price else the business can never survive.

So to answer your question,  it's consider generous or standard for any business to contribute 10~20% of their profit.

  5. Having "looked" at many not for profit org. and one chick whose on the board, its all crooked. The have salaries form it and costs which equal 98% of what comes in stays in,1 to 2% goes to help other org.or some cause. The get buddy buddy with local gov. so they are safe for now. That is my answer.
