  1. setter

    outside hitter

    strong side hitter

    outside hitter

    middle blocker

  2. 6 players-3 front row and 3 back row.  there is a 10ft line that divides the rows.  Starting in the back right hand corner is the serving position, then moving to the middle of the floor in the back is middle back (usually a defensive player is there) and then left back.  On front row is, from the left front, is your strong side hitter, then middle front and the right side hitter(usually the back up setter or actual setter).  Every position rotates clockwise, this is the rotation.  Then you can switch postions after the play has been served. You want to have the stronger hitters to play on the left side and the setter or back up setter on the right side.  Usually the tallestt player plays middle.  Coaches arrange the line up to ensure that there is a strong hitter and a middle on the front row at all times. Plus there are subs that can enter the game.  The object of the game is to contact the ball 3 times (pass, set, attack) to get the ball into the court of the opposing team.  You want earn points by winning the rally.  Hope this helps some

  3. there is 6 positions on the court and they go counterclockwise starting in the right back (serving) position.

    positions are

    setter

    middle blocker

    outside hitter

    right side hitter

    defensive specialist

    hope this helps a little!

  4. Volleyball is a very hard hitting contact-sport. You don't contact with anyone else on your team (unless you run into each other on a play) but it takes a lot of heart and strength to be able to play it. There are 6 positions (you obvisouly already noe them) and you rotate everytime you get a chance to serve (after the other team serves). You have to have a strong hitting arm, for spiking, as well as tuff arm muscles, for bumping or serving, or strong fingertips, for setting. Volleyball is one of the easiest sports to learn and master. You do have to be very fast to be able to play and you have to dive a lot, but remember to stay off of your knees! If you dive the right way it will not hurt at all. If you are tall than you will more than likely be a good spiker, if you are kind of a little bit shorter than average, you will more than likely be a good setter. Not saying that if you are short you won't be a good spiker or vise versa, but the way it normally works out is that way. There have been cases where it's been the opposite. And most of the time you have to serve overhand (when you get out of middle school levels and onto high school, college, or even proffesional levels) The underhand serve is also popular but not well known in the professional world. Hope I helped you out if there is anything else I can help you with don't be scared to ask!
