hi folks. I had a blood test done recently by my rheumatologist. He tested Protein Electro.,S; Sjorgren's Ab, Anti-SS-A/-SS-B; Antiextractable Nuclear Ag; Anti-Myeloperoxidase (MPO) ABS; Rheumatoid Arthritis Factor; CCP - IgG Antibodies.

Here are some of the notable results:

Gamma Globulin - 2.0 g/dL HIGH

Anti - DNA (SS) IgG, Ab, Qn - 107 EU HIGH

Can someone tell me what these results mean? Like what exactly is the thing that's malfunctioning to make these results abnormally high and what can be done to fix it?

thanx muchly

  1. They don't mean much without clinical context. It would be nice if rheumatologic tests were completely specific for certain syndromes, but that's rarely the case. You apparently have some form of rheumatologic illness, but that's about as far as you can go on the test reports alone.
