  1. The vibrator creates sound waves.  Guitar strings are vibrators.

    Resonators collect, amplify, and direct the sound waves.  A hollow-body guitar does this, while an electric guitar does not.


  2. The vibrator creates the sound waves, this will be from different sources depending on the instrument. In the case of the guitar, its the strings, in wind instruments, it's the air from the mouth.

    The guitar can be used as an example, BUT it MUST be an accoustic guitar, not an electric guitar.
