Yes, I have several cars, and I buy natural gas (methane) from a filling station 10 miles away. Yes, I know what biodiesel is. What comes to mind is: natural gas is a better way to go, because there wouldn't be enough biodiesel to go around if everybody used it. How much do I know about biodiesel? I'd say I'm about a 6 on that scale. I am not willing to pay anything for biodiesel. I prefer my natural gas cars. They are much better for the environment by far. Other forms of alternative energies/fuels I am familiar with: natural gas!!! As for gasoline prices, I don't care because I don't buy it. I pay 85 CENTS per gallon for natural gas, and yes, I  am happy with that! No, I do not want to know more about biodiesel. I already have my alternative and I love it. But thanks for asking...

a) it comes from crops that should be farmed for food

b) Rapid Transit District in Los Angeles tried it in the 1990s and all it did was gum up their diesel bus engines with laquer so bad that they scrapped the engines and went back to regular petroleum diesel; also, "biodiesel" is no less than 93% PETROLEUM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

c) it will lead to the bankruptcy of our farmers and the small pioneer bio-diesel producers just as it has in Brazil.  Then the huge international corporations will gobble up those farms and become a huge cartel monopoly over bio-diesel fuel.
