to get a working visa here in italy you need to first have a job, then you need a letter from your employer to take to the local police. they are agenzies in milan and rome who do all this for you. if you are a US citizens you need to be present in italy with all the documents in triple that they need!

Travel agencies cannot help you get a WORK visa. Maybe they can help you get a TOURIST visa. I recommend that you contact the Italian Embassy. It helps to have a job ahead of time.
