The asker is about to start a new job in a law firm.  Several posters have answered with suggestions what would apply to nearly any workplace.  Things like - Don't gossip.  Eyes and ears open, mouth closed until you understand the internal politics of the company.  Don't assume that your prior job experience gives you all the answers or that you already know the best way to do everything - this employer has its own answers and its own procedures, and you'll want to learn everything about them that you can before you make suggestions to improve things.

Do check it out, because the answerers there responded with great answers and I hate to lose their meanings by paraphrasing too much.

I think you need to be a little more specific as to what you're looking for.  What type of business; how many employees; what rules/regulations are you interested in?
