The other day I bought for the 1st time this frozen Indian chickpea bread~and boy of boy was I for a nice big surprise!!--can you say "DELISH"? Mmmmm, mmmmm-mmmm! YUMMY~~~~~!!!!

{ :-D

{it's only got chickpea flour in it right?}

Hoping there's no "white flour" in it. IF there is, perhaps I'll make adjustments for substituting rice flour.

BUT THANK YOU WHOEVER POSTS A DELICIOUS RECIPE or two for this luscious bread!! : )

  2. i dont know a recepie for chickpea bread but this is an awsome recepie for chikpea spread- otherwise known as hummus- my grandma makes it all the time- its easy  and delicious....mmm

    2 tsp. chopped fresh parsley

    1 c. chickpeas

    3 c. water

    1 clove garlic, minced

    1/2 c. tahini

    2 tbsp. lemon juice

    3/4 tsp. sea salt

    Soak chickpeas overnight (or boil for 1 minute and soak for 2 hours), add garlic and simmer for 2 to 3 hours until tender. If pressure cooking use 2 1/2 cups water and cook for 1 hour. Combine cooked chickpeas with other ingredients and puree all together in a blender, a food mill, or by mashing with a fork. This Middle Eastern specialty is good on sandwiches with lettuce and/or sprouts, and makes a good dip for crackers when thinned with 1/4 to 1/2 cup water.

  3. ohh i just saw that thingy somewhere!  i think it was either on http://indianfoodrecipes.info or it was on http://indian-recipe.net  just search for "bread" or "cholay"...."chick bread" or suttin....
