Please give me feedback on my music?

It's instrumental jazz and indie rock. Please tell me what you like, dislike or if it sounds like we've ripped off something or just general thoughts. It's been difficult getting intelligent feedback; most people who I've let listen to it get this vacuous look on their faces and say "I like that part" or "Good."
