Please give me your honest opinion..?

im 17 and im gonna dropout theres no way i can make up my credits on time to graduate..my counselor told me she will help me with my GED and im hoping to get it in 2 or 3 months...i turn 18 in october i plan on working full time to pay for my car insurance..and save up money and help out my mom..is a GED just like a high school diploma? and i plan on going back to serbia next october when i make money to live over there with my grandma and her big house..and over there i can be a translator or work in a bank since my uncle is the head chief at the bank..is this a good plan/route and do u think it could work..and please dont tell me to stay in school theres no way i can graduate with my class..

  1. The G.E. D is actually harder to earn than a diploma.  it has a bad rep, but most people don't know only 1 out of 4 high school seniors can pass it.  I'd say go for it, but don't be shocked if it takes longer to earn it than you thought.


  2. In a lot of ways it is equal, but there are some draw backs. If you plan on going to college, some discriminate between the two. Same thing with some military and government jobs. I won't tell you to hang in there but here is something to think about. Get your GED. Then if you decide to go to college, most have a program that uses your college classes to make up your missing credits from high school, basically completing your high school diploma without taking a single extra class!! It is a really good program and easy to do even if you are just doing a two year associates degree.
