  1. If this is about animal species then why is it in the agriculture topic?

I don't think we should do things just because we can. The pursuit of knowledge should have benefits that outweigh the consequences of testing, but sometimes we don't know what all the benefits are until it's happened.

People who are against it because they think something that resembles a sci-fi thriller (Godzilla, Jurassic Park...) will happen don't quite have a firm grasp on reality.

Note: If we were to do everything the way nature intended it to be, then we would live outside in a grass hut and eat whatever we could find. No pain killers or medicine either... that's cheating!

Personally, I prefer science to emotional rationality.

  2. there all evil , evil EVIL!

  3. Hasnt genetic cross breeding of animals and plants been going on for generations?

i.e breeding offspring from two types of cow to produce larger quantities of leaner meat or cross pollinating plants to produce a hybrid?

  4. human and animal engineering is inevitable, so i wish they would just hurry up and get on with it

  5. I have heard that it reduces the fertility rate in animals, surely we need more not less.

I think they have started on people because when I walk down our high street everybody (Exept the goths) look the same.

  6. Hate it, do I really have to say anymore? If other people feel the same way, maybe we should be moving towards options for a more organic vegan diet?  Maybe 'natural health' and a bit less high-tech medicine.  Bit of an agnostic myself, but if there is a God I believe he/she is not too happy about mortals trying to improve on creation.  Resist science at all costs when you believe it has moved beyond sanity and progress to only benefit short-term business interests.

  7. I personally think that this practice is very wrong

It is going against nature and how nature intended things to be.

I do however believe that it is very possible for this to be some what close to the near distant future :(

  8. Make more mutants. "Beam me up Scotty"

  10. yes, we can benefit from engineered animals if we are careful.

it probably means humans will be next, but tentatively at first and over a long period.
