Hi

I'm going to europe in spring 2010 for 80 days.

We are going to be going to

1.England

2.Scotland

3.Denmark

4.Germany

5. Austria

6. Switzerland

7.France

8.Spain

9.Croatia

10.Italy

11. and Greece.

So I was just wondering if anyone had any advice about what places to go to and avoid in these countries are. Things that we must see ad do in these countries including particular cities and towns that we should see in these countries. Also the holiday(activities etc.)has to be appropriate and fun for 2 15/16 year old girls and their parents.

Thanks :)

  1. Make sure you have plenty of money and a backup money in case it gets lost or stolen. I would contact the government or a tourist information for each place and ask for advice beforehand!! They can tell you what to do and where to go and not to!! Dont go anywhere alone at night and have a good time!!

  2. 1.England      10 days

    2.Scotland        5 days

    3.Denmark        5 days

    4.Germany      10 days

    - northern and central cities are nicest (from Kiel and Hamburg down to Wuerzburg) - a lot of old buildings, cathedrals, castles...

    5. Austria         5 days

of course, Wien, and maybe montain side

    6. Switzerland 5 days

    7.France              10 days

    - don't miss: Disneyland, museums in Paris

    8.Spain                5 days

    - many places to see, you have to decide in advance

    9.Croatia        3 days

    - the seaside

    10.Italy              10 days

    - everybody knows what to visit there

    11. and Greece. 5 days

TOTAL: 73 days - you have more 7 days to distribute, or maybe you could visit one or two more countries

Actually I think 15 days for England + Scotland it's too much. Since you are American (I presume) you already know pretty much about UK so why would you spend so much time there anyway.

  3. lucky you - an 80 days trip is really somethig to look forward to.

  5. Out of all of the areas you've mentioned the UK & Switzerland are the only places with a closed border. Everywhere else you go there you can just drive through the border..

I live in Spain. This is a fantastic country and the people are warm & friendly. I can't go too much into individual things to see, it would take too long, but have a great time.

Make sur you also visit Andorra, it is a tax free country.
