i did have unprotected s*x with a guy twice. neither time did he *** in me. and one time he didnt even get off. i know it was risky. anyway, i have swollen lymph nodes (its been 3-4 months since the incident and now i have the swollen lymph nodes) also i have been diagnosed with folliculitis (at least that was their best guess to what i may have) i do work out now, which i just started and sweat a lot so i dont know if that can be it. but, is folliculitis a early symptom, or does it develop in the later stages. i am very nervous, could i be positive. i know i have to go get tested. please help

  1. swallon lymp nodes mean u have a virus

  2. If you want peace of mind, go get yourself tested. As far as I know folliculitis is not a symptom of HIV.

  3. What you did would be considered very low risk. There could be HIV in pre-***. You are past the window period so I would suggest a HIV test

as soon as you can for your peace of mind.

There usually are no signs of HIV infection. maybe flu like symptoms, but that doesn't always happen.

Get tested, know your status, you will feel so much better

  4. Get tested. Not to scare you but when I got infected after a few months my lymph nodes swelled up cause your body realizes there is a problem.Good luck and get some rubbers.

  5. Swollen lymph node DOES NOT mean you have a virus. I had sinus problems and still have sore nodes on my neck. Get tested, there are many confidential public health clinics that will do it same or next day.

  6. yea

  7. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/hiv-aid...

  8. Symptoms are never indicator for HIV infection. They could be related to other medical conditions or stress. You had unprotected s*x and you were at risk. The risk is low (around 1 to 1000 for a single exposure) but it is not zero.

The best way is to get tested now and put this incident behind you. If it has been more than 3 months from your last exposure, then your test at this time is conclusive. I would expect a negative result for you. But remember to use condoms when you do not know the status of your partner.

    Good luck!
