Please help, son spit up something that looks like raw meat?

My son is 16 months old and pulled something out of his mouth that looked like raw meat. It's red and oddly shaped. It's veiny and kinda looks like the underside of your tongue but red. It smells like half digested breastmilk so that makes me thing it came from his stomach. I'm afraid it's part of his stomach or something. The Ped is closed and I don't know what to tell the ER or help line. any ideas?!

i'd take him to the er to be sure. It is probably just part of lunch though but you can never be too careful when it comes to your child.

I would go to the e.r or maybe you could call and be transferred to the nurses line and pretty much just explain the question you've just asked just to be on the safe side

Take it and him to the er as soon as possible!

I'd take the sample and him into the ER. Better safe than sorry!

Take him to the ER as soon as you can. It may be nothing but you can never be too careful. Just tell the ER exactly what happened and what you saw, take along the sample. They will be able to give you professional advice and what to do next.
