  1. Hallo, try this www.mitfahrzentrale.de - this is organised auto stop. They are cheap and you can arrange to get door to door with a small premium.

    BR,

    H.St.

  2. http://www.bahn.de/international/view/en...

There are several connections to Nördlingen, all require at least 2 changes. Travel time is approx. 4 hours. If you book the tickets at least several days in advance online you can get the tickets cheaper.

    To Rothenburg all connections run

    Frankfurt(Main)Hbf

    Würzburg Hbf

    Steinach(b Rothenb)

    Rothenburg ob der Tauber

    Travel time is 2:28 hrs.

If you got lots of luggage call the Bahn-Callcenter and tell them you want assistance from the Bahnhofsmission for your changes.

  3. Well, the best but actually not the cheapest way is by train. Go to Frankfurt main train station in the citiy (or the one connected to the airport) and ask at the ticket seller what the best connection is. Taking the ICE train (intercity express) would be the most expensive one but the fastest as well. The IC train (intercity) is a bit cheaper and the Regionalexpress is the moderate one which stops at even the small stations taking rather long time.

Anyway, when asking for tickets then also ask if there's a special offer - cause there're mostly "special" prices - such as first person pays full and the one who's travelling with you just pays 50% or is even cheaper. But ask them. If travelling on the weekend there are so called "Wochenend Ticket" (weekend tickets).

If unsure go to www.bahn.de (they also got it in the English language, just select your language in the right upper corner) and get pre-informations there.

    Happy holiday.

Another option is taking a car. You can rent one at the airport. But this might be not cheaper than the train and then you have to drive yourself and might get "lost".
