I need to go from lexham gardens (W8) to Earls court, warwick road (SW5 9TA) and need to walk. How long will it be? Do you know any sites I can look at to find this out? I have tried google maps but they only show DRIVING map, not walking. Hmm...

I also need to get from Euston Station to Lexham Gardens in Earls Court. What do I do? Where do I go? How do I get there? Is there a train station at Earls Court or is there a tube there? I'm scared.

  1. A good website for working out how far away something is if you don't have an A-Z handy is www.streetmap.co.uk

Here is the page you need:

    http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=...

As you can see, Warwick road is just round the corner so you can make it in a couple of minutes.

If you're going from Euston to Earl's Court then go on the Tube at Euston Victoria Line Southbound and change at Green Park for the Piccadilly Line to Earl's Court tube station then walk.

Don't stress, buy yourself an A-Z and a Pay as you Go Oyster card when you get here (from the tube station) and you'll be acting like a Londoner in no time!

As for mainline train stations, a lot of them are used as local services.  The main services from outside London go to Liverpool Street, St Pancras, Waterloo, Kings Cross, London Bridge, London Victoria, London Euston or Clapham Junction and people generally change from there for tubes or get a connecting train to where they are going.  There is a mainline station at Earls Court but it is not going to take you very far - It's at either West Brompton or Kensington Olympia and they'll take you between each other and to Clapham Junction.

www.nationalrail.co.uk for train times for mainline rail services.

  2. Why don't you want the tube? Is it because of the bombings? You honestly don't have to worry. If i can't persuade you there are busses to all places in London. There is an over ground system that starts at euston and you can get to Kensington (olympia) station then walk to Earl's Court! If you look on google maps you will see the distance, and you know there are pavements beside all roads in london so just follow the roads and you'll get there!

  3. From Lexham Gardens, the walk is minutes, and to 'Earls Court from Euston' there is a train also buses, don't worry there are plenty of free guide maps when you arrive, do enjoy you time and stay. good luck

oh the buses can be fun, take a camera

  5. The transport for London website does  a journey planner which also shows the walking route with map & instructions, just click on view

    Map of route

Word of advice, don't give out your home postcode again, it's very easy to find the complete thing

Edit, in response to you query about Earl's Court, it's a tube station & that's it, but you can use the line there to get to Victoria, Paddington or King's Cross, also Euston, where you're coming from, which do have trains which go out of London.  Where do you need to go?

To get from Euston to Earl's Court take the Victoria line to Green Park & change to the district line

    What are you scared of?

Please use the map I've given you to walk to your destination, this is the journey from Earl's Court to Lexham Gardens

  6. Darling you need to get an A-Z map....they are books with every street in London clearly marked...iuncluding tubes and train stations....or better yet get a cab! Why do you have to walk? Google "A-Z London online" and see if it is online,
