Please help! Cant sleep!

i just got back from portugal and i didnt have a problem sleeping at all. and thats because there blinds are incredibly thick and that also they dont let ANY source of light come into the room. and now im back in america and these blinds suck so bad! they let in so much light i that i cant sleep anymore! so basically does anyone know where i can get really thick blinds that dont let any light into the room!?!?!?!?

the blackout curtains from lowes or walmart work. a sleeping ask from bed, bath, and beyond might work if it doesn't come off your face while sleeping.

I don't know about blinds but you can buy "black out" curtians that stop all of the light.  I worked nights for many years.  I also used to use aluminum foil taped to the glass.  This doesn't look to appealling from the outside but it really works best.
