  1. Get a couple of credit cards (with a co-signer if necessary).  use them carefully and pay them on time always.  For a phone, if they won't accept a co-signer or a secrity deposit, go with a pay as you go phone.  If you can afford it, buy a car (with a co-signer).  Pay it off on time or faster.  It may take time but it will work.

  2. Move to another country which doesn't require you to be in debt to be a "good citizen".

  4. start building your credit! go to a small department store and pick up an application for a credit card. don't wait until you NEED credit to build credit. by then it's too late!!  you need to have good credit all the time!  you're 25 it's about time you start building credit!

pay off your credit purchase every month so you don't have credit issues!! don't charge what you can't pay off at the end of the month!

just be smart and responsible with your money.

it's stupid to charge everything on your credit card and not pay it off and get into a debt! but it's just as stupid to not have any credit cards  to build your credit because you don't want to get into debt.

with your cell phone situation: put the security deposit they require down. make sure you pay your bills on time so you get your deposit back.  that's how you start to build your credit history. painful but rewarding if you're good.

  5. It might take a while but you need to get a credit card or two and make sure that you use them and pay them off on time every month (doesn't have to be the full amount as long as you pay the minimum on time). Do you have a car? Those bills can be counted on your credit report. You might need co-signers to start out but eventually you will build up your own credit. I started with a credit card when I was 16, at 19 I bought my own car without a co-signer and now at 21 I pretty much have the freedom to do anything so take my word for it. It may take a while but in the end it will be worth it!
