Please help! Hamster bleeding!?

Question

My mum has just phoned in a panic, her hamster is bleeding from its rear end and its really smelly what could this be? We can't get to a vet as its 9o'clock at night in uk. Please help what could this be?

This seems serious! Please find some sort of emergency animal center or something. Tell them you are desperate. This seems like a serious discharge! Please hurry and get an emergency center's help!

Do you know if it's pregnant?

If not, it may have scratched itself or scraped itself on something.

Are there other hamsters in the cage?

It sounds like a discharge. It could be that the hamster is pregnant. It can have some sort of fungi. It can also have some sort of parasite. It may be just a simple cut, but it shouldn't smell if that was the case. i think that as long as the hamster is not whimpering he/she will be fine for tonight. Wait for the morning and take it to a vet first thing.

well some animals have their periods as i was told yesterday when i got my gerbil so is could be on it's period.

it might have bit itself! is it pregnant? uhhm uhm i dont know!!try to go to the emergency vet!
