I recently applied for financial aid online. My EFC came out to 8873.. which is considered to be HIGH and not eligible for the Pell Grant (I'm assuming). However, I am going to a community college OUT OF STATE. I will not be working... I am claimed as a dependant of my dad..which is partially why the EFC came out so high. But do they take into consideration that people have bills???? It's not like we have money sitting around for college.. The school I applied for is 1hr away from where i will be.. any money I do have will be going to gas & food.. so what do I do so that the school can take that into consideration when deciding what aid i might get....?&...what other options do I have? I don't want to take out personal loans that will rack up MAJOR interest...ugh..please help!
